NATIONAL PRAYER DAY

Hey All. Just wanted to let you know about National Prayer Day on Thursday May 3.

It is an important day.

Lets keep it in mind.

POST your prayers and praises!

This week... I think we should share our praises and prayer requests with each other. Lifting our needs to our Father above is something we need to be doing daily and being able to share them with others and have others pray for them also is an element of our faith that isn't always shared in today's world. I'd like to change that.

So this week.. LETS lift each other up in prayer, Virginia Tech, TNT and CSF, Grace Harbor, Providence. But lets also PRAISE God for all the good He is doing or has done in your life recently.

Lets praise God through prayer.

PRAYER MEETING

Prayer meeting tomorrow at 10AM at Biltmore.

PRAYER FOR VT

By now, you're all aware of the saddness & sin manifested at Virgina Tech, if not check the bbc or cnn or foxnews for more info. For us, this is a time to pray. Today there will be a convocation and prayer service, and pray that Christ is lifted up higher than all other "gods" or "ways." Pray for the Christian community to be thoughtful and dedicated in their response, and for Christian witness to grow on the campus. There are several large fellowships at Virginia Tech - Intervarsity, Campus Crusade, Baptist Campus Ministries - that will likely have members in some way affected by the events of yesterday. Pray for the ministers of these groups to have light and peace and hope in their hearts and mouths. In all, may Christ be honored.

Glorify God

Lets Glorify God this week. Lets pray that we will follow Him and His teachings so that we may Glorify God in all we do this week.

There are many prayer requests out there for practicals, thoughts about next year, personal requests and much much more. Lets just try to encourage and pray for each other as this year is ending.

Lets pray for each other as this year is slowly coming to a close, plans for the summer and for the next year.

Easter

So as we just passed through the Easter Holiday we need to remember as the summer approaches what we just celebrated. it was not about teh candy or easter egg hunts or anything that people look foward to, but it was about Jesus rising from the dead. Lets keep that in mind. In girls bible study we made a prayer for 2007, a prayer about what we would like to ask God to accomplish in us this year. I suggest that we should all do something like this. Write down ONE or TWO major things we would like to see happen this year in our lives and prayer everyday that God will show us how we need to change or what we need to do to make that happen. I know one of the things I wrote down is that of understand what it truly means to show God's love to those around me everyday. I am working on this by sharing His message and what he ahs done in my life, specially in Russia. But that is just me!!!
